Creating has always felt natural to me.

Hi, I’m Jamie ✿

I am a visual storyteller with a focus on photography and design. I hold Bachelor of Business Administration (hons), which gave me the tools to pair creativity with strategy. Today, I help individuals, small businesses, and organizations share their stories clearly, truthfully, and thoughtfully.

If you’d like to work together, I’d love to hear from you.

My work

  • My photography approach is natural, thoughtful, and grounded in real moments. I’m inspired by imagery that feels honest and enduring. I work primarily with natural light and take a documentary approach, giving space for moments to unfold as they are.

  • Good design should feel natural and lasting.

Over the past several years, I have been working with small businesses and organizations to shape visual identities, digital content, and websites that feel cohesive and grounded. I create hand-drawn logos and custom design elements that add personality and warmth.

I care about making things feel aligned and intuitive, without overcomplicating them. Clear and thoughtful always wins.

I value the process as much as the outcome. I listen closely, ask questions, and work collaboratively to build something that reflects the people behind it.

  • I have a deep interest in land and water and have spent over seven years working in environmental communications, food security, and freshwater conservation.

I’ve led communications for watershed restoration initiatives across British Columbia and written dozens of articles for BC Outdoors magazine. My work has included media engagement, digital strategy, grant and donor communications, and long-form storytelling.

Throughout my career, I’ve worked closely with First Nations, landowners, stewardship groups, academic institutions, and government agencies to ensure communications reflect shared priorities and lived context. These experiences have shaped how I communicate complex work in ways that feel true, accessible, and grounded.

  • I grew up as a farm kid with an obsession for the arts and a natural connection to land and water around me. For me, creativity has always been a part of everyday life. Over time, I found that my interest in nature and the arts began to intertwine and shape my professional path.

Through my Bachelor of Business Administration (hons) degree from Capilano University, I received formal training in marketing and writing. That education continues to support my work, particularly in branding, communications strategy, and helping organizations find clarity in how they present themselves.

I also have a longstanding fascination with fibre arts and am an avid knitter, drawn to the patience, texture, and rhythm of making items by hand. View my online shop here.
